LeTech Leather Cross Linker X Strong

The Leather Cross Linker X Strong is a professional curing agent for polyurethane coatings with improved edurability, especially suited for use with automotive leather, furniture and other products requiring increased durability of the coating.

The Leather Cross Linker X Strong, forms a tight bond and forms a reinforced coating structure. As a result, the coating's durability, wear resistance and resistance to abrasion, water and solvents are significantly increased.

The Leather Cross Linker X Strong is used for fixing polyurethane coatings and has the following unique properties:

• Forms a tough but elastic coating;
• Increases resistance to moisture and solvents;
• Accelerates polymerisation;

Interacting with polyurethane dispersions, the Leather Cross Linker X Strong forms a three-dimensional cross-linking network with interpenetrating bonds. As a result of changing physical properties, the quality and durability of the coating, its resistance to abrasion, resistance to water and solvents are increased.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The Leather Cross Linker X Strong is used only in conjunction with polyurethane coatings, for top-coat dyeing of leather.

Mix 5-15% of the Leather Cross Linker X Strong polyurethane curing agent with the Leather Primer, the Leather Colourant or the Leather Top Coat and mix thoroughly. Apply the resulting solution to the leather as recommended for the product.

Excessive amounts of the Leather Cross Linker X Strong in the colour or protective varnish may slightly increase the hardness of the finish, therefore adjust the percentage up or down depending on the type of product you are working with.

Be sure to thoroughly dry each coat applied with a household hair dryer - the heat triggers and improves the chemical reaction, resulting in a more durable coating with higher physical characteristics.

When dyeing soft and especially delicate leathers, it is recommended to use Cross Linker X standard fixer, which has increased elasticity and softness.

After mixing the Leather Cross Linker X Strong with any of the above formulations, the finished product must be used within 2 hours. This is why it is important to mix the Leather Cross Linker X Strong hardener only for the amount you plan to use immediately.

IMPORTANT: The life of the hardener is 6 months. Store in a tightly closed container and in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Temperature range 5-35°C with relative humidity max. 80%.
