Instructions
The Leather Liquid Degreaser is a professional product, which requires proper application technique and an understanding of the properties of the product.
Our LeTech ACADEMY - LeCademy+ trains you in the correct use of our professional care and restoration products, and supports you in your work.
- Before you start removing grease stains from your leather, first clean the leather with the Leather Ultimate Cleaner. After cleaning the leather, you can then proceed with the removal of greasy and oily stains;
- Soak your Terry Towel or any other dense cloth in the Leather Liquid Degreaser and apply gentle pressure to the area to be treated. If the grease stain is a result of years of use (in areas where the hands and head are normally located), we recommend that you preheat the area using a household hair dryer and distress the leather slightly to make it easier to remove the grease from the leather, then apply the Leather Liquid Degreaser generously and rub the contaminated area with the Terry Towel, wringing the leather as if "drying" it. Repeat the process, if necessary, until the stain is completely removed;
- After cleaning the leather, to assess whether or not there is any grease left in the leather, apply a thin coat of the Leather Degreaser to the leather with a brush and wait 20-30 minutes until the degreaser is completely dry. If the product is completely white after drying and there are no signs of grease absorption, the grease is completely removed;
- After the grease stain is completely removed, repeat the first step of leather cleaning with the Leather Ultimate Cleaner;
- After all grease has been removed, you may need to refresh the colour. To update the colour, use the Leather Re-Colouring Balm or the Leather Colour Restorer, depending on the leather type you are working with;
- To prevent further absorption of grease into the cleansed leather, use the Leather Protection Cream or the Leather Lotion every 3 months.
Note: Bicast leather may react with the Leather Degreaser, as a result it may become sticky and unpleasant to the touch.
